Rediscovered by
After graduating from Goldsmiths College in Textile design and training as a screen printer in Philadelphia, Charlotte returned home to the Leicestershire countryside to in 2014 to establish Rediscovered by.
Combining technical print experimentation and conscious environmental design, Rediscovered by uses linen for all its designs, a beautiful natural ecological product. As well as its low environmental footprint, linen has great natural strength, and is an excellent conductor of heat, perfect for our climate. All our linen comes from a mill in Northern Ireland, with the flax grown in the nearby fields. Many of the people who contribute to the making of the cloth are reflected on the collage opposite, with each piece a unique, handmade product.
Drawings on fabric is our first collection, using traditional methods of silver pigment printing and half tone separation to create the impression of the design being drawn directly onto the cloth.
Patterns in nature is the second collection, combining hand painted drawings with digital printing techniques.
